Patricia Green’s appartment, Melrose District, Phoenix,Az.

Urban apartment space planning project

Patricia Green has always dreamed of having her own design firm and living in a urban setting. Her practice specializes in mid-century architectural restoration and design remodel. Her dream was realized when she purchased a mid-century, mixed-use building to house her firm, a small retail showroom and live above. The property is located in the Melrose District, which was developed in the early 1950s and is currently going through a revitalization - bringing new life to the old neighborhood.

Contract includes all the work on the second level which include: living/entertainment, master suite, servery and laundry spaces. Patricia would like you to be very sensitive to the buildings architecture and the vocabulary context of her business and neighborhood. Patricia is very open to innovative ideas and non traditional solutions. She would like an environment that she can escape to at the end of the day; a place of sanctuary. Her personal space is only shared with select group of close friends and family. The second floor has limited interior space so consideration of the exterior (future) balcony access and maximizing the urban view is important. An efficient, innovative and creative solution will be the answer to her unique program functional requirements. She does have a limited inventory for you to incorporate into your planning process.
